Pursuant to Section 606 and 692 of the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter M-26 of the Statutes of Alberta, notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Peace River will hold:
- A Public Hearing before considering second reading of Bylaw No. 2130 amend the Town of Peace River Municipal Development Plan No. 1874.
- A Public Hearing before considering second reading of Bylaw No. 2131 to amend the Town of Peace River Land Use Bylaw No. 1891.
An application was received to amend the municipal development plan and the land use bylaw for the purpose of developing land on the West Hill between No Frills and Mighty Peace Chevrolet (7513 100 Ave and 7601 100 Ave, Plan 3115HW, Lot 11 and Plan 3115HW, Lot 10) with a mix of commercial and residential. The proposed bylaws make that development possible.
Bylaw No. 2130 adds new policy direction to the Municipal Development Plan that allows the Town to consider mixed use development applications that include residential uses on lands directed to be Commercial in the Future Land Use Concept of the MDP.
Bylaw No. 2131 redistricts the development lands 7513 100 Ave and 7601 100 Ave (Plan 3115HW, Lot 11 and Plan 3115HW, Lot 10) from the Highway Commercial (C-2) District to the Direct Control District.
The Council of the Town of Peace River has given first reading to Bylaw No. 2130 and Bylaw No. 2131, and will hold a public hearing as follows:

*The public hearing for Bylaw No. 2131 will follow immediately after the public hearing for Bylaw No. 2130. The public is invited to attend in person. The hearing will be recorded (audio only) and persons wishing to speak will be requested to state their name and address for the record upon being recognized by the Chair.
