Public Engagement

The Town of Peace River values public input into decision making and works to engage with our community along the continuum of public engagement as applicable for specific projects and decisions. The Town supports public engagement that is honest, transparent, and accessible.

You can share your opinions and ideas with the Town in a number of ways, including calling Town facilities, communicating with us on our social media channels, submitting a Report-a-Concern, attending open houses or focus groups, and sharing feedback through surveys. For those engaging with the Town over social media, our Social Media Participant Use Policy states that we reserve the right to delete degrading, threatening, defaming, and belittling comments. We ask that you please communicate your thoughts and concerns in a manner respectful to all parties involved.

This Public Engagement page has been created with the intention of providing the community with another avenue for reading proposed directives, policies, bylaws, and projects, and offering feedback in an easy, direct way. Each project will have a dedicated page that will provide residents with all relevant information and a way to provide feedback.

The Town has a Public Participation Policy that provides direction with respect to public engagement opportunities.
