Drop-In Sports

The Baytex Energy Centre is committed to offering recreational drop-in programs to the community.

Our drop-in programs are designed to create an inclusive environment where participants can learn a new skill, be social, be active, share their sport with others and play together regardless of skill level (beginner to advanced welcome).

Recreational drop-in programs are NOT about winning, competitive or aggressive play.

General Info for all Drop-Ins

  • Please sign in & pay drop-in admission prior to entering.
  • NO food allowed.
  • Sports drink & water ONLY.
  • Only NON-marking gym shoes allowed.
  • Full gear MUST be worn during Shinny.
  • All skill levels welcome!
  • Participants are expected to play in a safe and controlled manner.
  • Space is limited; we operate on a first come first serve basis with sign-in 15minutes prior to a program start.
  • Participants must be present at the time of admission purchase.

Rentals

Looking for a meeting space? Or need more room, in a studio-like area? We’ve got the spot for you!

Our Meeting Room and Multipurpose Room are great options for board meetings, youth groups, study groups, a yoga class…the opportunities are endless.

Our field house courts and arena are also available to rent!

Facility Features

Canadian Natural Fieldhouse & Track

Offering residents and visitors year-round access to a variety of field sports, the Canadian Natural Fieldhouse has lines and nets to accommodate sports such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, or pickleball.

Field house & Track hours: 7am – 10pm.

Our track is open daily and can be used as a single drop-in, or with a punch pass or monthly membership. Punch Passes offer a discounted bulk purchase while our Monthly Membership allows you to use the track during our closed reception hours by signing in at the front door.

Ice Rink

An NHL-sized ice rink with three sides of viewing.

Macmillan Construction Indoor Playground

Open 8 am – 8 pm

Overlooking our ice surface the Indoor Playground offers a safe and fun place for the whole community. This gives families a place to escape those cold winter days and to keep the kids playing all year-round.

Champion’s Health & Fitness

CK Next Generation

Located on the 2nd floor, the ice viewing concession is open to serve our facility users. CK’s strives to provide high-quality, quick takeout food. Contact her for team/special event catering, as well!

Peace Region Family Resource Network

Our FRN Hub is an information centre for families with children aged 0-18. Family Education Facilitators are available to answer questions, provide evidence-based resources, connect families to community agencies and make referrals to services.
