Municipal Grants

A strong community includes strong community groups, the Town of Peace recognizes the important work done by these groups and as a result, there are several municipal avenues for groups to apply for funding or support for the work that they do.

FCSS Grants to Groups

Available annually in January these grants also require some info to be submitted in November. The funds are geared towards projects be of a preventive nature; enhancing the social well-being of individuals and families through promotion or intervention strategies provided at the earliest opportunity.

Council Grants to Organizations

Who should apply?

Any group or organization that is looking to positively improve the community of Peace River.

Downtown Revitalization Grant

This grant is being administered to encourage the revitalization of Downtown by providing a grant to landowners who construct new mixed-use development, multi-family residential development, or commercial development in downtown or who renovate existing mixed-use, multi-family residential or commercial development in downtown Peace River.

Who should apply?

Business or homeowners who live in the downtown area and have completed renovations or new builds.

Business Grants Program

The Business Grants Program provides financial assistance through grants designed to stimulate business development, building activity and continued local employment. The program encourages reinvestment in buildings and property throughout the Town, and the development and expansion of tourism-based products and services.

This program carries two streams

  • Tourism Enhancement Grant
