Warm weather means melting snow and ice, resulting in rising water levels in the Peace River. The Town of Peace River, along with Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, is working hard to monitor the situation and to prepare for any possible outcomes. The proposed increases would impact fees and rates related to Corporate Services, Community Services, Protective Services, and Engineering and Infrastructure, to ensure cost recovery and to account for the recent surge in inflation rates.
