New Business
Approval of 2018 Audited Financial Statements
The 2018 audited financial statements were presented to the council by the auditor. The statements were approved and will be available online shortly.
Proposed New Policy for County of Northern Lights and Town of Peace River Intermunicipal Development Plan
Council voted in favour of including the new policy the in Intermunicipal Development Plan with the County of Northern Lights. Policy details are outlined in the request for decision linked above.
Proposed Changes to Town of Peace River and MD of Peace Intermunicipal Development Plan
Council agreed to change components of a land use map that is part of the Intermunicipal Development Plan area with the MD of Peace.
Mackenzie Municipal Services Agency 2020 Contract
Council voted not to renew our contract with the Mackenzie Municipal Services Agency and to instead hire a Municipal Planner.
Reservoir 365 Funding
Council approved an amendment to the capital budget for this project, detailed information is available in the Request for decision linked above. $5,376,400 originally earmarked for federal and provincial funding was transferred to debt funding.
Public Alert System
Council requested that Town Administration review options for an alert system and bring the results to Council.
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Workshop
Councillors were enabled to attend two CPTED workshops taking place on May 2 and 3.
