Peace Regional Eco Centre
The Peace Regional Eco Centre is part of the Peace Regional Waste Management Company and is a full-service recycling facility, serving the residents of their membership area from the Town of Peace River, Northern Sunrise County and Village of Nampa. They accept cardboard (corrugated only), mixed paper (boxboard, cereal boxes, flyers or glossy magazines, newsprint), shredded and non-shredded white and coloured office paper, film and mixed ridged plastics, white/clear Styrofoam, tin cans, clear jar glass, electronics (including the new and expanded ARMA pilot program materials), used paint, HHW, batteries, small 1lb propane tanks (bigger tanks must be taken to the Landfill) and fluorescent tubes and bulbs. They offer brush/branch and grass/leaves bins for organics recycling during the summer months. They host the TOPR spring and fall cleanups and accept additional recyclable materials and household waste during these events. Due to COVID-19, their Put-N-Take is currently closed until further notice. Regular business and office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; excluding holidays. The focus and ongoing goal of the Eco Centre is to divert as much recyclable materials from our local Landfill as possible. Please phone or email for more information on their facility.
