Traffic Impacts During Rig Recovery

November 14, 2018

Contractors on the bridge project are going to be recovering a piledriver that has been overturned near the Highway 2 on-ramp tonight.

In order to recover the equipment, the on-ramp will be closed from 8 PM Wednesday, November 14, until 6 AM. During this time, traffic exiting from westbound Highway 2 to downtown will have to drive across the river, turn around at the Shaftesbury overpass, cross back over the river and exit on 100 Street. Traffic getting onto Highway 2 westbound can access the Highway via the off-ramp, please follow flaggers instructions.

Trucks will need to go up the east the hill then turn around near the Northern Sunrise County offices in order to access the westbound lanes.

The on-ramp must be shut in to allow a crane to be set up to facilitate the recovery.

We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience.
