Snow Removal – February 9 & 10, 2022

Snow Removal – February 9 & 10, 2022

*** Update, February 10 at 10:30am ***

Due to the rapid melting and extremely icy conditions, our crews have adjusted their plan to have a two-pronged focus: to monitor the storm water catch basins and to clear ice from areas with large accumulations all throughout the town. Sand trucks and graders are out, as well as contracted trucks to assist with pickup from previous rolling.

Areas identified in the original post below may still have snow removed, so it is encouraged for residents who have done so to continue to keep their parked vehicles off the specified routes. Thank you for your cooperation in this effort.
*** Original Post ***

Crews will be working on snow removal in the Shaftesbury Estates, Lower West, Upper West, and Saddleback neighbourhoods. Wednesday, February 9, crews will be rolling the snow in the Shaftesbury Estates, Lower West, and Upper West neighbourhoods, and then will proceed with snow pickup on Thursday, February 10. Snow rolling and pickup for Saddleback Estates will occur either late Wednesday or on Thursday.

Crews were not able to put out snow removal signs, so cars left on the street will not be at risk of tickets or towing, as per our Snow & Ice Management Policy. Crews will work around any cars parked in the street being cleared. However, we still ask residents to please remove vehicles from the street, if able, to allow room for crews to work.
