Saddleback Park Redesign

Phase 2 Summer/Fall 2021 –  New Paved Trails in Saddleback Park

Over the summer and fall of 2021, the Town of Peace River will be carrying out Phase 2 of the Saddleback Park Redesign.

Phase 2 centres on the installation of a paved trail network that will connect neighbourhoods via existing access points. The new paved trails will provide ease of access for those with mobility aids and strollers, improving safety in the park for all users.

The concept image below shows the route the path will take, please note though this design is still undergoing a final review and will be adjusted from what is above. As soon as the final design is approved updated high-resolution concepts will be available here.

Saddleback Park Redesign Background

Approved by Town Council in 2017, the Saddleback Park Redesign Plan was developed following an extensive public engagement process. Phase 1 of the plan was completed in 2018 with the installation of new playground equipment, site grading, and a toboggan hill.  In 2019 shade trees were planted near the playground. Completion of Phase 1 and 2 of the Saddleback Redesign forms a Council strategic plan objective.
