Ball Diamonds and Sports Fields
All sports fields on school property are maintained and managed by the Community Services Department through a formal agreement. The community has access to these fields after 5:00 pm by booking them through the Community Services Department. Those that have booked the fields have priority over groups that haven’t pre-booked
Peace River features several ball diamonds, ranging from slow pitch fields to men’s league. Fields are maintained and managed through the Community Services Department. For information about the Town of Peace River ball diamonds or to book them for your group, please contact our Recreation Facilities Coordinator at 780-624-1000.
To keep our fields in tip-top shape, it is sometimes necessary for the Community Services Department to restrict usage and cancel events/bookings during times of extreme weather conditions. Cancellations are made via phone and/or email to all main coordinators of the local user groups that may be affected. These coordinators are then responsible for notifying their registered members. Groups will not be billed for bookings that are cancelled by the Community Services Department.

Casual community users are welcome to use Diamonds and Fields with no charge any time they are available. For organized events such as family reunions or company picnics, groups who wish to reserve a specific time for exclusive use will be charged according to the fee schedule. Signage will be posted notifying other users about the reservation, however, the staff is not available to ensure compliance or provide maintenance during use.
No alcohol is permitted on Sports Fields and Ball Diamonds, with the exception of tournaments or games with a liquor permit.
Tournaments must be booked at least two weeks in advance, with full payment of fees and damage deposit at the time of booking. A Certificate of Insurance for $2 million Liability Insurance naming the Town of Peace River as additional insured is required for any tournament.
Ball Diamond – Per Game, up to 2 hours

Youth is defined as a group under 18, where the only adults on the field are coaches/supervisors. A mixed group of players over and under 18 pay the adult rate.

Rental fee for each diamond $100.00/weekend +GST
