Peace Regional Pool Wins Award

The Peace Regional Pool is the proud recipient of the 2017 William (Bill) Patton Award for First-Aid Certification from Lifesaving Society.

Winners were announced in April at the Lifesaving Society’s Annual General Meeting. The William (Bill) Patton Award goes to the affiliate member with the largest Lifesaving First Aid program. Affiliates of the Lifesaving Society are grouped by population.

For a community with a population of less than 7,500, The Town of Peace River came in first followed the Town of Claresholm, and the Town of Wainwright.

In addition to winning the William (Bill) Patton Recognition award the Peace Regional Pool also received: a second-place mention for the Governor Bruce Hogle Lifesaving Program Recognition Award, Awarded to the affiliate member with the largest Lifesaving Program; and a third-place mention for the Marlin Moore National Lifeguard Recognition Award, Awarded to the affiliate member, serving a community with a population of less than 7,500, with the largest National Lifeguard program.
