Metis Flag Raised for National Indigenous Peoples Day

In honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Métis flag has been raised at the community flagpole in the Main Street roundabout through June 24.

National Indigenous Peoples Day falls during National Indigenous History Month. It’s an opportunity to learn about and celebrate the vibrant cultures and histories of our Indigenous communities. Today is a day of national importance, which has been recognized by the Federal Government and communities across Canada for 25 years.
