Landslide in Lower West Peace

This morning the Town of Peace River was made aware of a landslide in Lower West Peace that had caused damage to a home.

Shortly before 9am the Peace River Fire Department responded to reports of a landslide, engineers from the Town of Peace River and Alberta Transportation also arrived on scene to assess the situation. There was damage to the home, however, no one was injured. As a result of the slide, the pathway along Shaftesbury Trail has been closed near the sea can bridge. Alberta Transportation is continuing to assess the scene.
