Garbage Collection Delay

GFL is out collecting recycling today. We have been in contact with them regarding a number of residences where garbage collection was missed this week. If your garbage was not picked up this week, please put your bin out next week on the regular day. If you have an extra bag or two due to missed collection this week please put it out with your bin on garbage day and it will all be collected by GFL. Additional bag tags do not need to be purchased.

After a repaired line GFL’s truck is back on the road. As a result of the downtime, there will be slight delays picking up garbage in town this week. Tuesday’s collection will be completed today and then GFL will start on Wednesday’s collection. Wednesday pickup will likely continue into Thursday, and recycling collection will take place Thursday and Friday.

During collection today GFL’s truck broke down, currently the cause is unknown, the truck is in the shop and a new one may need to be brought to Town to assist in collection. Garbage will be collected this week, please leave your bins out and GFL will be by to collect. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and will update when we receive more information from GFL.
