Flags Lowered for Day of Mourning

Posted April 28, 2020

April 28 is the National Day of Mourning where we remember those lost due to workplace illness or incidents. According to figures from the Workers Compensation Board of Alberta (WCB), 165 people in Alberta were lost to workplace injury or illness in 2019.

In honour of those lost, flags at municipal facilities have been lowered to half-mast for the day.
