Flags Lowered Following Shooting in Nova Scotia

Posted April 20, 2020

Over the weekend we were stunned and heartbroken to hear about the tragedy that took the lives of so many people in Nova Scotia. As we mourn with those in Nova Scotia we have lowered municipal flags to half-mast until the end of the workday on Friday.

“We are all deeply saddened by the tragedy that took place over the weekend in Nova Scotia. Many in Peace River have connections to the Maritimes and will be deeply impacted by the senseless murders. This week we join with the rest of Canada in mourning this terrible event,” said Mayor Tom Tarpey.
