“Peace of Art” - Peace River’s Art Club is happy to announce it will be going ahead with its July/August show - “Connecting with Mother Earth”. The show is tentatively planned for July 22 to August 19 at the P. R. Municipal Library and Art gallery. We are hoping by that time the library will be open. We are planning to host an online show via our Facebook page. Please consider. Creating and submitting an original work for this show. “Peace of Art” members may submit an unlimited number of pieces. for this show only, we are opening it up to interested non-members to showcase

Psychological First Aid for a Pandemic

July 24, 2020.   Psychological First Aid (PFA) is considered to be the first stage intervention during a disaster or emergency. During a pandemic, how we respond looks different but the principles are the same. PFA Online Training allows responders to provide support over the phone to individuals that may be quarantined, in self-isolation, or practicing physical distancing in order to prevent the spread of a pandemic. The 2-hour interactive online training will cover essential tools, key PFA action principles, and self-care for responders. Note: -

Halloween at the Museum Pick up a bag of candy at the Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre! While Supplies Last October 31st, 2020 10am to 4pm (Costumes are optional but encouraged!) As per COVID-19 restrictions there will be a limit number of visitors in the Museum Gift Shop at one time. We also require those coming into the Gift Shop to sanitize their hands upon entry.
