Changes in Eco Centre Service

The Eco Centre, operated by the Peace Regional Waste Management Company (PRWMC), has recently made some changes. To offer clarification and echo their message they have released, we would like to provide answers to some previously asked questions.
Will residential pickup be changing?
No. There will be no changes made to residential garbage and recycling pickup. This service is provided by the Town and the collection is contracted out to GFL.
What changes have been made to the Eco Centre?
Some of the changes include:
- Moving to a single-stream blue/clear bag recycling system
- Discontinuation of glass collection
- Removal of grass/leaves & brush/branches bins
- Removal of recycling “igloos” around Peace River (Items can instead be brought to Eco Centre, landfill, or transfer stations.)
