November 16, 2017
Thanks to the generous support of the local community, Peace River’s Firefighter’s Association exceeded their fundraising goal during the Rooftop Campout at the end of last month.
Firefighters from Peace River and the County of Northern Lights spent 24 hours on the roof of Tim Horton’s beginning on October 27. Their goal was to raise $5000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Society of Canada, they raised $6,615.40.
Each year fire departments across Canada raise money through Rooftop Campouts for the Muscular Dystrophy Society of Canada. The Society helps further research and support for those living with Muscular Dystrophy.
