Temporary Closure of Highway 2 Exit Pedestrian Bridge

Posted July 18, 2022

As a part of the Peace River Arch Bridge rehabilitation project, the yellow pedestrian bridge will be getting repainted.

While the work is being done, the Highway 2 exit ramp leading to downtown will be reduced to a lane with a width of 3.7 metres, and the pedestrian crossing will be closed for steel repairs and coatings. The suggested detour route for pedestrians is the new 98 Street underpass, as indicated in the image below. The work will commence Monday, July 25 and continue through to Sunday, August 28.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes and thank you for your patience.
