Are you looking for an opportunity to support people in the Peace River area? Do you empathize with those who are dealing with a long term health concern? Here is an opportunity to use those skills!
Alberta Health Services is looking for volunteers to co-lead the Better Choices, Better Health® chronic disease self-management program.
Better Choices, Better Health(R) is a program that runs once/week for 6 weeks and each class is 2.5 hrs. It is for people who are working on managing long term conditions such as pain, depression, diabetes.
Training to become a leader is provided at no cost (lunch is provided!) and is happening in Peace River on October 3, 4, 10 & 11, 2018.
After that, the requirement to lead a program is 1-2 times per year and you sign up to deliver classes based on your schedule. If this is something that interests you and you’d like to ask some questions, please connect with Krystal Smith.
