Alberta Rural Crime Prevention Framework
Town of Peace River CAO Christopher Parker and Northern Sunrise County Councillor Corinna Williams presented to Council regarding a Rural Crime Prevention program. Details are included in the presentation materials linked above.
New Business
Grants to Organizations
Council reviewed the briefing note and will be allocating funds at the January 12, 2020, Regular Meeting.
Interim Budget
An interim operating budget was approved, valued at 50 percent of the 20019 approved operating budget. The Interim budget will be in place until the 2020 operating budget is approved.
Letter of Support for 55 + Games
Council approved a request for a letter of support regarding a regional bid on the 55 + Alberta Games.
FCM Resolution
A proposed resolution to send to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities conference regarding GST on inter-municipal cost-sharing agreements was approved by Council. Full details on the resolution are available in the Request for Decision document linked above.
Al Adair Rec Centre
Council approved a motion to issue a request for proposals to explore options for the potential transfer of ownership and/or re-purposing the building.
