Pool Instructor

The Town of Peace River is looking for energetic, self – motivated, team oriented people to join our team at the Peace Regional Pool as Instructors.

The successful candidate(s) will be accountable to the Shift Supervisor. The Instructors function is to instruct the Red Cross Swim programs with a focus on strategies to introduce and develop swimming and water safety skills in all levels.  The instructor would effectively plan, develop, and evaluate swimming and water safety skills.


  • Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Award (WSI)
  • Aquatic Emergency Care or Standard First Aid – Level C CPR (recognized by OH&S)
  • WHMIS certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum 15 years of age
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Child Intervention Check
  • E.D. certification or willingness to obtain
  • Good public relations skills both on the phone and in person

 This position is casual and will work evenings and weekends.

The Peace Regional Pool is a unionized workplace.

                                                                        The hourly wage is set at $17.67

This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 898 and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
