Special Council Update – October 7, 2019

A special council meeting was convened on October 7 for the purpose of hearing an appeal of a cleanup order issued by the Town under the Unsightly Premises Bylaw.
Pursuant to Section 12.(1) of the Unsightly Premises Bylaw and after considered discussion, it is the decision of Council, taking into account Section 4 of the Unsightly Premises Bylaw which requires that Council consider the use and location of the property in determining whether or not an unsightly premises exists, the subject property does represent an unsightly premises.
It is within the power of Council to vary the cleanup order and it is the decision of Council that an extension to the cleanup order be granted until October 30, 2019.
