Public Hearing Procedures During COVID-19

Public Hearing Procedures During COVID-19

Last updated September 16, 2020

Due to the pandemic, Peace River Town Council is currently holding meetings digitally. This has changed the way we hold public hearings. Below are the options available for those who wish to attend the public hearing and speak for or against the Bylaw.

All Council meetings are broadcast on our website, peaceriver.ca/council

Those who wish to attend the meeting to speak at the hearing may attend in person but due to physical distancing, we are limited to ten people. We strongly encourage you to RSVP so we can reserve seating.

If you would like to virtually attend the meeting and intend to speak to the Bylaw, you must RSVP and we will arrange for you to have access to the meeting platform to speak.

Comments and submissions on the Bylaw can be made until the closing of the public hearing through the form on Council’s webpage. The form is located right below the video stream and will allow you to email comments directly.

If you know you will be speaking on the Bylaw, we encourage you make arrangements in advance by contacting the Manager of Planning and Development.

For questions, to submit comments or to RSVP for the meeting either physically or virtually please contact:
