Northern Association for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder
The Northern Association for FASD is a Non-Profit charity managed by a volunteer board of directors and advisory members. Employees trained in the field of FASD provide support to families, and caregivers of individuals suspected and diagnosed with FASD in High Prairie and Grimshaw areas. Our specialized programming makes a difference in the lives of families we work with. Referrals are accepted by both agency and self-referral.
The Mission Statement of the Northern Association for FASD is:
To ensure an awareness and understanding of FASD within our communities while supporting those living and working with the effects of FASD through prevention, diagnosis and support services.
We envision a region with a reduction in FASD affected births and an increase of supportive services for those living and working with the effects of FASD.
Our three goals are:
To offer continual FASD education, support and prevention programming in the region.
To form partnerships with existing agencies to enhance their services to include appropriate supports for individuals who may be living and working with FASD.
To increase our level of funding to offer consistent preventative and supportive FASD programming.
