Notice of Bylaw Amendment – Area Structure Plan
BYLAWS TO AMEND THE ST. GERMAINE CREEK AREA STRUCTURE PLAN BYLAW NO. 1839
Pursuant to Section 606 of the Municipal Government Act, being Chapter M-26 of the Statutes of Alberta, notice is hereby given that the Council of the Town of Peace River will hold a Public Hearing before the second reading of Bylaw No.2013 to amend the St. Germaine Creek Area Structure Plan Bylaw No. 1839.
Bylaw No 2013 removes lots 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10, as well as Lot 8ER, 11ER and 12 ER from the area structure plan. The plan text and supporting figures have been updated to reflect the reduced plan area. In addition, the ASP has been updated to reflect Plan 162 3661, which was registered in 2016.
The Council of the Town of Peace River has given first reading to Bylaw No 2013 and will hold a public hearing as follows:

TOWN OF PEACE RIVER
BYLAW NO. 2013
BEING A BYLAW OF THE TOWN OF PEACE RIVER IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA FOR TO AMEND BYLAW NO. 1839
WHEREAS Section 633 of the Municipal Government Act, R.S.A 2000 c. M-26 and amendments thereto, enables Council to adopt an area structure plan to provide a framework for the future subdivision and development of lands within the municipality, and
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Peace River has adopted Bylaw No. 1839, being the St. Germaine Creek Area Structure Plan, and
WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Peace River deems it advisable to amend the said Bylaw;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Town of Peace River, duly assembled, hereby enacts as follows:
1. This bylaw may be cited as the “St. Germaine Creek Area Structure Plan Bylaw No. 2013”.
2. If any portion of this bylaw is declared invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, then the invalid portion shall be severed.
3. This Bylaw contains Schedule “A”, which forms a part of this Bylaw.
4. This bylaw shall come into force and have effect on the date of third and final reading.
