Notice for New Property Owners

Due to a backlog at the Alberta Land Titles office, the land transfer information required to update our tax roll system may not be current.

If you have purchased your property in Peace River in the past four to six months and you have not yet received your 2022 Property Tax and Assessment Notice issued on May 19, 2022, please visit Town Office to provide proof of ownership. The documents you are required to bring with you are photo identification and:

  1. Signed and executed sale documents naming you as the purchaser of the property; OR
  2. A letter from a lawyer stating that you have purchased the property and the transfer of title has been submitted to Alberta Land Titles.

The sale documents or letter must clearly identify both the property and purchaser.
