Fire Department Flag Lowered February 7, 2021 Flags at Peace River Fire Halls are at half mast in honour of an Alberta Volunteer Firefighter who died on Friday night in the line of duty. Firefighter Stephen Rayfield of the Castor Fire Department died while responding to a motor vehicle collision. The Fire Truck that he was in lost control in the extremely icy conditions and rolled. The Fire Chief was also injured in that incident. February 7th Snow Removal Our crews will be out tomorrow, Monday, February 7, 2022, working on snow removal from Priority 1 routes. This will include sections of 103 St. After Priority 1 is cleared, crews will then move onto Priority 2 routes, such as 91 St. in Lower West Peace and 82 St. in Saddleback. Posted February 3, 2022 Starting this evening, Northern Alberta is under a Snowfall Warning, with expected total snow accumulations ranging from 20 to 40 cm by Saturday evening. As per our Snow & Ice Management Policy, during a major snowfall event parking bans will be in force on Priority 1 (P1) routes.
