The Town of Peace River is looking for team oriented, self-motivated, focused people to join our team at the Peace Regional Pool as Lifeguards.

The successful candidate(s) will be accountable to the Shift Supervisor, and will assist the other staff members in providing maximum opportunities for the public to enjoy recreational activities at the Peace Regional Pool.  They are active in preventing injuries, providing general lifeguarding duties, and maintaining the facility.

Qualifications:

  • National Lifeguard Award
  • Aquatic Emergency Care or Standard First Aid – Level C CPR (recognized by OH&S)
  • WHMIS certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum 16 years of Age
  • Minimum grade 9 or equivalent
  • Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Child Intervention Check
  • E.D. certification or willingness to obtain
  • Good public relations skills both on the phone and in person

This position is casual and will work evenings and weekends.

The Peace Regional Pool is a unionized workplace.

The hourly wage is set at $17.67

This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E. Local 898 and as such, you will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement.
