The Town of Peace River Registration Centre is open at the Baytex Energy Centre, located 9810–73 Avenue.
Please follow the Town of Peace River’s Facebook page for additional updates, as we work to keep evacuees informed as the situation evolves. Additional information will also be posted here, if and when it becomes available.
Evacuation Centre Capacity

More information
We also encourage you to visit the following link, to the Government of Alberta’s information for Northwest Territories fire evacuees:

Our thoughts are with all individuals and families impacted by the fires, and we are proud to be able to provide support.
Donations
Are you looking for a way to donate to wildfire evacuees? Consider donating through United Way Northwest Territories, or through another verified organization: https://nwt.unitedway.ca/
Some people have stopped by the evacuee registration centre with blankets or other donations. While the intent is amazing and it’s wonderful to see such generosity, we cannot accept donations at the registration centre at this time.
Thank You
A big thank you to those in other orders of government offering their support to evacuees, and to the Town. We were happy to host Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland on Aug. 18, 2023, as she came to provide supplies and support to evacuees, and Town staff.
