2021/22 Neighbourhood Infrastructure Renewal Information Session No. 2

Municipal infrastructure renewal is scheduled for May to October 2021 and 2022. Planning and design has been completed for both 94^th and 95^th Avenues. Due to budget constraints, only 94^th Avenue will proceed this year. 95^th Avenue will be completed in 2022 as shown in Figure 1.

What is involved?

1. The rehabilitation of all surface and sub-surface municipal infrastructure, including concrete curb and gutter, sidewalks, asphalt pavement (where it currently exists), the water distribution system, the sanitary sewer collection system, and the storm water collection system.
2. Optional private water and sanitary sewer service rehabilitation.
3. An upgrade from gravel to asphalt roads and concrete curbs and monolithic sidewalks (funded through a Local Improvement*).

*the local improvement bylaw for 95^th Avenue is anticipated to be imposed in 2022, to coincide with the beginning of construction of the 2022 project.

A pre-construction Information Session will be held on Wednesday February 24, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. via on-line Zoom conferencing.

Representatives from the Town of Peace River, Velocity Group and Ruel Bros. Contracting (General Contractor and Road Construction) will present project information and answer questions. All residents are welcome to forward any questions or concerns via email or phone to Velocity Group.

A limited number of spaces at the Town office will be made available to join the Zoom meeting for anyone who is unable to participate from home. Please contact Karrie (below) to register your attendance at the Town office By February 22 at 12 pm.
