MoA Signed with Town of Grimshaw

The Towns of Grimshaw and Peace River have come to agreement on a funding structure for the Peace River airport. Over three years the Town of Grimshaw will contribute $35,000 annually to airport operations. Full details are available in the request for decision.

Sale of Naming Rights

Baytex Energy Corp and the Town of Peace River has signed a renewed contract for the naming rights of the current Baytex Energy Centre and the future Peace Regional Recreation Centre full details available at the link below.

Oil & Gas Awareness Day

February 13 will be proclaimed Oil & Gas Awareness Day. The request comes from the association of oil and gas contract drillers who are requesting municipalities across alberta do this to celebrate the commencement of production of Leduc No. 1 70 years ago.

Green Space Maintenance Contract

Congratulations to Aaron Cook Environmental Services Ltd. who successfully bid on the 2017/18 green space contract.  The contract will last two years and locks in the costs of maintaining our green spaces over that time at the same levels they were at for 2016.
