A Museum membership makes a wonderful gift for the historically inclined.
The majority of artifacts that the Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre hosts are generously donated by people who currently live in, or have lived in the Peace River Region.
The Museum is pleased to accept donations of artifacts specific to the history of the town of Peace River. We are also very interested in the history and stories surrounding the artifact or object.
If you have items you wish to donate to the museum, please contact Laura Gloor, Museum Director & Curator to discuss your donation.
Donations to the Archives
The Peace River Archives are institutional members of the Archives Society of Alberta and as such, conform to a high standard of preservation and conservation.
If you would like to make a donation of photographs or other archival documents concerning the North Peace Region, we would be happy to receive them.
If you have photographs or other print documents that you wish to donate to the Archives or have questions regarding the conservation of artifacts, please contact our Archivist, to discuss your donation.
Financial Donations to the Museum
The cost of running a museum, especially a growing museum, is a significant one. The Peace River Museum, Archives and Mackenzie Centre depends on the Town of Peace River, fundraising efforts from groups such as the Sir Alexander Mackenzie Historical Society and the Peace River Heritage Run, government grant monies and from the generous donations of patrons visiting the museum.
If you would like to make a financial donation to the museum, or to find out about the museum’s needs, please contact the curator.
