Orange Shirt Day September 30, Orange Shirt Day, is a day of remembrance to honour students of the Residential School system, and to recognize the profound impact that this system has left on the estimated 150,000 students and their families. In recognition of this, the Town of Peace River encourages community members to wear an orange shirt on September 30. Water Play Park Closed Week of July 6 Posted July 6, 2020 The Water Play Park will be closed for the week of July 6 – 12, 2020. Due to flooding in the Legion parking lot area over the weekend some repairs need to be completed. The Water Play Park is scheduled at this time for reopening July 13, 2020. The washroom facilities will remain open for usage daily from 12 noon – 5 PM for those using the playground and skate park.
