  • Peace Regional Eco Centre

    The Eco Centre is a recycling facility and accepts cardboard (corrugated and boxboard, i.e. cereal boxes), all paper, shredded paper, newsprint, flyers or glossy magazines, white or coloured office paper, computers and computer components, televisions, used paint, tin cans, glass, mixed plastic, batteries, propane tanks, and spent fluorescents. They also take household hazardous waste year round. Put-N-Take: bring in OR take away, Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The aim of the Eco Centre is to keep as much reusable material out of the landfill as possible. The Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) Program provides a wide range of family-centered supports and services.   • First Steps Program

    First Steps is an early intervention class for 3-6 year olds with mild to severe delays in speech or motor skills (muscle control and coordination). We have a small student to teacher ratio. It is taught by a certified teacher with support from educational assistants. We base our class activities on learning through play, music and movement. We also have six Family Oriented Sessions throughout the year where parents come to the school with their children for short sessions. These days are designed to provide information for parents about the goals we are focusing on at school and to suggest examples of activities that can be done at home to help the children reach their individual goals.   • Grim Reapers Roller Derby Association

    Introducing the ‘Grimshaw Grim Reapers’ the latest and greatest team belonging to the Roller Derby Association of Canada and we follow the WFTDA rule set. With currently 27 Skilled (tested and passed skating skills), registered and insured skaters, and with fresh meat (new skaters) we have approximately 34 practicing members. Although our team is based in Grimshaw, the Grim Reapers proudly represent the region with skaters from surrounding communities including Nampa, Peace River, Berwyn and even Fairview! Read More →

  • Misery Mountain Ski Area

    T-Bars as well as a quad chairlift to access over 27 runs from Beginner to Expert. An 8000 sq ft chalet with full ski and board rentals as well as tuning shop for all ski and board repairs.   • North Peace Navigators

    Peace River

    Peace River’s Junior B Hockey Team; plays in the North West Junior Hockey League. Games are played at the Baytex Energy Centre from September to February for regular season and February to March for playoffs and finals. Games usually played on Friday/Saturday evenings; season tickets available; tickets also available at the door. Winners of the Senators Cup in the NWJHL for three out of the last five years and the Alberta Provincials Bronze Medal in 2015.Read More →
