  • ESL & Adult Literacy – Horizon Learning Centre

    One-on-one FREE confidential sessions. Learners are paired with a trained volunteer tutor. Together they plan sessions to meet the learner’s unique needs to develop skills in reading, writing, math, computers, study/test taking and/or English language training. Volunteer to be a literacy or ESL tutor or to mentor a new immigrant to integrate and feel at home in Peace River. Training provided. Lifelong Learning for Adults: Registration and information center for general interest, employment related and other adult courses. Coordinate monthly NVC (Non-Violent Communication) practice groups. Resources for ESL and adult literacy. Volunteer opportunities include: literacy tutoring, mentoring new immigrants, teaching courses or helping in the Centre or with various events. Read More →
