Snow Removal Update – December 29

Posted December 29, 2022

Today, December 29, Public Works crews have begun snow pickup operations, with contractor support, for Priority 1 roads, including sections of 94th, 98th and 101st Street.

This afternoon and tomorrow morning, we will continue with grading and windrowing Priority 1 roads (103 Street and 114 Avenue in the South End and 99 Avenue by the hospital) before moving to Priority 2 roads in Shaftesbury, Saddleback (82 Street and 99 Avenue), and the North End (99 Street and 77th Avenue). We will continue with other Priority 2 routes as weather and equipment allow. With a reduced staffing complement over the holidays, we appreciate your patience and understanding. Please drive carefully and adjust to our winter road conditions.

Please work with us to maintain the accessibility of our community by:
Removing vehicles from the street! This gives crews space to work and maximizes the effectiveness of the plowing operations!
– Clearing the sidewalk along your property (remember that snow should not be moved into the street).
– Helping your friends and neighbours by clearing snow for properties displaying the Snow Angel program sign.
